A Picture’s Worth A Thousand Bites

Q.
New foods can both thrill and terrify when we are travelling. What should we be sure to try? Which foods from which countries are attracting the most attention?

.

A.

Plenty of people neither take photos of their meals nor share their dining experiences on social media. Nevertheless, it can be telling to see which foods are getting the most online hype.

In December of 2023, insureandgo analyzed the TikTokFood view count of 2,600 types of dishes from 177 countries. Which meals from which countries attracted the most eyes?

These researchers also investigated which meals were most photographed within each country. How many of these dishes have you tried – within the countries mentioned or elsewhere?
