Canada’s Healthy Nosh

Q.
We’re not all poutine and Nanaimo Bars. Which fruits and vegetables do Canadians favour?

.

A.

To get a sense of what’s on our rainbow plate, Leger 360 polled 1,587 Canadians in 2020. Participants were asked which fruits and vegetables they had eaten in the past year. Which of these fruits and vegetables have you eaten over the last 12 months?

In the 2020 Leger poll, 84% of Canadians said they prefer to buy their fruits local, the number for vegetables was 85%. If grocery store signage and action is any indication, this ‘buy local/Canadian’ number is rising.
