Chocolate or Vanilla?

The heat is on. What is your favourite ice-cream flavour? How do flavour preferences play out in Canada?

In 2022, Narrative Research asked the question of 1, 239 Canadian adults over the age of 18. As you’ll see below, the top 4 came in close, but chocolate prevailed. 🙌🏼

Canadians’ Favourite Ice Cream Flavours
i. Chocolate – 13%
ii. Vanilla – 11%
iii. Mint Chocolate – 10%
iv. Maple Walnut – 10%
v. Butterscotch – 8%
vi. Cookie Dough – 7%
vii. Cookies n’ Cream – 7%
viii. Strawberry – 5%
ix. Moose Tracks – 4%
x. Neapolitan – 3%
xi. Moon Mist – 1%
xii. Others – 12%

And what – some of us have no clue – are ‘Moose Tracks’ and ‘Moon Mist’?

Moose Tracks ice cream is vanilla ice cream blended with peanut butter cups and Moose Tracks fudge. Moon Mist is a Nova-Scotia based ice cream created from bubblegum, grape, and banana.
